Can a chocolate shop be transformed into a net-zero building? 

​The founder of ChocoSol, a small chocolate shop in Toronto, had a strong interest in sustainable design and wanted to expand his company in that manner. In response to this vision, we aimed to achieve a net-zero design by implementing photovoltaic solar panels, earth tubes, and a ground source heat pump system. 

Each floor of the new addition serves a specific function related to sustainability, and the space layout is carefully designed to engage the neighbourhood and demonstrate how sustainability can be a driving force for community solidarity.
